Krishna Aunty

Krishna Aunty is a fast casual Indian restaurant serving traditional dishes enjoyed in homes across southern India, in convenient wraps and bowls. Krishna Aunty was founded by Joe Moroney, originally from Ireland. He met his, now-wife, Divya Gopal, in London. She is Indian American, and it was through her he came to realize that the Indian food he had at curry houses in London was not representative of the traditional foods families like hers ate at home. Moroney says, “At Krishna Aunty our goal is to make it easy for Baltimoreans to eat delicious, nutritious, authentic homestyle Indian food. We’ve been operating a virtual restaurant from B-More Kitchen in northern Baltimore for the past few months and received a great response to our food. We’re really excited about our new home at Cross Street Market. We live in South Baltimore with or son, Joseph Krishna. As newcomers to the area it’s great to join an institution that has been at the heart of the South Baltimore community for almost two centuries.”
